Summer has started with hot weather and the occasional storm, bringing a few downed trees to disrupt our travel. NJ Transit unveiled the beginning of its sustainability plan, and even as we are glad to see such a document from the agency, we note that it’s “broad strokes”/conceptual, and we need more and better from our state public transit agency—more next issue.
In mid-June, NJ Transit held its third accessibility forum. Our biggest complaint, right up front, was the lack of publicity. We have offered to share the notice, and finally found the NJT web page after a couple of false starts, but such a large state agency should be able to do much better at spreading the word.
