Coalition Officers to Speak at New England Rail Conference

Three officers of the Lackawanna Coalition will speak at the We CAN Connect New England by Rail conference to be held at the New Haven Free Public Library on Friday, April 29th.  The theme of the conference will Connecting New England by Rail, and it is sponsored by the Rail Users’ Network (RUN), the Connecticut Sierra Club, and the National Corridors Initiative (NCI).
Coalition Chair David Peter Alan will moderate a panel on Connecting New England with South of New York.  Joining him on the panel will be Coalition Political Director James T. Raleigh and Technical Director Joseph M. Clift.
Alan, an attorney, will also speak on advocacy techniques as part of a panel on Best Practices for Rail Advocates.
The keynote speaker will by Arthur S. Guzzetti, Vice-President for Policy at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
The Early Registration price for the conference is $45, with higher fees for registration close to the conference date or admission at the door.  There will also be an optional Saturday transit tour for attendees who wish to stay in New Haven or return there the next day.
